Navigating and Connecting Patient Access to Care
Most everyone would agree that understanding and navigating health care is both confusing and frustrating. This session is geared towards explaining the basic structure of our health care system (HMO, EPO, and PPO) and what is covered and what is not. The presenter will also share best practice strategies to navigate the healthcare system and understand the cost so as to limit out-of-pocket costs.

Promotores, Certified Enrollment Counselors, and Community Workers wear multiple hats. They are seen as a valuable resource because they go beyond their role as enrollers to assist “las familias” in basic needs, public benefits. In this workshop, you will learn what organizations are doing to connect families with other much needed programs.
